Kathy Strauss

Creationeer

With a background in design & a certification as a Creatively Fit Coach, Kathy Strauss has been in the creative industry for over 40 years. Calling herself a creationeer, she sees the world like no other. She loves putting her artistic eye and imagination together to create inspired works that come from her heart. Through photography she captures memories and creates meaningful visual stories, her fine art taps into the universal energy that surrounds us, and through words shares her artist’s view of life. Most of all, Kathy teaches that creativity is everyone’s super-power. She has published and illustrated numerous coloring books (“Coloring Your Spirit: designs & meditations to spark the creative in all of us”, “52 Weeks of Gratitude: 52 positive words that can change your life & the way you think”, and “Positive Spirit: an intentional & mindful journey through coloring & journaling”). Her more recent writing is as a collaborative author in “Ignite Your Faith” and “Health-a-Pedia: Putting the Pieces Together in Foundational Health”—both of these books went international bestseller in less than 24 hours. She is currently working on her solo book and several other writing projects.

She was a founding artist at the Workhouse Arts Center and Pres. of the Arches Gallery Artists in Lorton, VA. She is currently an exhibiting artist at the Seacoast Artists Gallery and the Artists on 8th Ave in the William H. Miller Art Studio. In addition, she volunteers her time as a Board member for the Seacoast Artists Guild and is a Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She currently serves on the Seacoast Artists Guild Board of Directors, is an ambassador for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as a graduate of both Leadership Grand Strand Class 42 and Leadership Prince William Class 2010.

No matter what Kathy is doing, you will always know that she is passionate about the arts and contributing to the community she lives in.

Creativity is Your Superpower

Creativity isn’t just for artists. It’s the fuel that teaches us how to think outside the box, especially when we are going through challenges. Learning to tap into it encourages us to create and access internal tools that can serve as lessons and bolster us during times of stress. When we see the bigger picture in any situation, it allows us to tap into an unknown strength that allows us to gain clarity, learn who we are as a person, and where we stand in any relationship. Creativity is a fact of life; it surrounds us and beckons us to tap into universal knowing, mindfulness, and peace—it helps you build a creative muscle. I will share simple tools for creative play, telling stories, and to help YOU discover that you are the artist of your life.
