Melanie Summers is a Homeschool Coach and Consultant with over forty years of experience as an educator. Her love for educating children is a lifelong passion. After retiring in 2017, she founded Innovative Homeschool Solutions, which brings her extensive knowledge of homeschooling, alternative learning techniques, and curriculum development together to guide homeschooling families and other educators. Melanie has found incredible success beyond her teaching career. Melanie lives in Mesa, Arizona, with her husband, Rick, her two cats, Bugsie and Mickey, and her pup, Ollie.

Live Outside the Line

We are constantly being watched—by children. Our own children, our grandchildren, and even the next-door neighbor's children watch us. They listen to what we say to others and how we say things. They watch how we act; they even watch what we wear. We are their teachers. Not everything a child learns is from a textbook. Using stories and personal experience, I want to entice my audience to Live Outside the Line so that our children can know that it's quite OK to be creative and imaginative, to reach for the stars, to be whoever they were meant to become in Life.
